Dedicated to the users who provided me with criticism & feedback.
Vanilla UI Plus (VUI+) is a Fallout 3 & New Vegas mod that greatly improves the user interface without compromising the original style. I like this style as it reminds me of old PLATO programs, and the original fonts are easy to read by everyone, including controller users. To quote Billy Graham:
“And get a bible with big print. I think one of the greatest tricks that the devil ever pulled off on the American people was when he started printing bibles with such little print that nobody can read them.”
VUI+ has a few prominent and hundreds of under-the-hood features, as seen in the annotated screenshots below and the changelog. It’s provided under a copyleft license (see the License.txt file in the archive).
To request support, please use the latest versions of xNVSE, JIP-LN, UIO, Stewie’s Tweaks, JohnnyGuitar and YUP, and make sure that you have installed VUI+ after any conflicting mods such as the MCM. You can use the comments at the end of this page but for feature requests or bethXML questions please use the forum instead, as I want these to be accessible by everyone.

Sorta an odd question but, whats with the ninja vault boy? I cant remember this is used in-game or is it part of a mod
Ninja vault boy ? Where ? You mean the Ninja perk ?
dialog options won't show anymore after installed the vanilla ui plus mod. Don't know what's causing the issue. Options that come up are not showing up properly as a result of this issue.
I'm using vortex btw and when I try installing the mod, there is no option for me to install any of the plugins.
Sounds like a Vortex issue. My installer adheres to the FOMM spec and I don't plan to test it on Vortex.
Rather unrelated to Vanilla UI+ but maybe you would know such a thing. Is there a way to disable the hud element that pops up when someone holds the 1-9 keys for 1-2 seconds?
I was always wondering that. Not even Stewies Tweaks seem to have a option to disable this element only. There is a option to disable the 1-9 keys alltogether but I only want to not use the hud element that pops up when you hold the keys for a while. I just dont use it and it screws with my custom hud like MUX anyway and on top of that I use Zelda Style Quick Item Select now, which makes that old hud element even more pointless.
Try
setUIFloat "HUDMainMenu\Hokeys\y" -1000
at the console. Hokeys isn't a typo.
Oh wow. That actually did it! Thanks a bunch for your time.
Is there a way to not have to write this into the console every time I restart the game? Like making a script that writes it automatically into the console each time the game is started? Or perhaps editing Vanilla UI+ config files?
