heyo, a lot more people are downloading my mods than i expected, so thank you!
I started adding descriptions under the mod files with lists of songs in the mods. these lists also have the lump names for the songs as well. you can use these lumps in the console to manually select songs. this works in every mod. the command is: "changemus [lump]"
I probably wont be uploading as many mods in the future as of now. I do have quite a few more packs planned but i'm running into an issue, my music taste is weird. it is becoming harder to group artist together because i'm looking for quality and cohesion for these mods. i want each pack to have as many songs as possible while each midi being good versions of the original songs as well as all the artist working well together or on their own. I listen to a LOT of music that falls somewhere loosely between the umbrella's of punk and metal and not all of those bands are the same shade of punk or metal. alternatively i know a lot about some styles and little about others so some of these projects are feeling either bloated or lopsided so i might spend more time polishing them so check back in once in awhile I've already reuploaded a few files with fixed spelling errors and plan on adding songs to existing packs in the future but since the mods have already started gaining minimal traction i want to dump a lot of songs at once so if you have to go back and redownload one of my mods it'll be worth the time. Before I start doing this however i want to finish the lists of existing songs in each mod which is at 2/7, i'm doing it this way so that each mod will have a proper README file with the lumps.
an example of what i was saying earlier, I have a lot of midis on my computer i have been collecting and i don't know what to do with like i have a lot of Alice in chains, nirvana and some black sabbath but they don't fit in with anything i have already done and I'm probably not the person to make grunge or stoner/doom metal music packs since I don't listen to enough of those specific genres. (although i wonder if its possible to just replace the doom soundtrack with dopesmoker by sleep where it just plays on a loop but doesn't start over when you finish a map.)
so quick recap: genre mods won't be updated with new songs until I have the tracklist ready so that way i have a base to work off of. however new mods are still being worked on at the same time. I am going to try to also have new mods release with the lumps and tracklist so no one has to download twice or wait till its in the file description.
