Ah yes, this right here was the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition, Silent Hill HD Collection, Warcraft 3 Reforged, XIII Remake, or *insert bad remake/remaster of a famous/popular game here* of it's time.
Actual HLS want in that state wen was realised. The game brake after source engine update. Besicaly GTA DE in revers. Not in launch.
It was always a low effort project though, so much could have been done.

we need to fix the remaining maps that are broken in Half-Life Source to help out BloodyMuffin's mod that fixes the game, by combining the fixes from "Resized Maps" to fix the major and minor map leaks, as Valve's GitHub pages for HLS hasn't been updated for years, suggesting that Valve officially disbanded their GitHub bug reporter staff after I guess probably just six years (2013 to 2019 to be exact).

Probably the reviews was made before 2013. During around 2013, HL Source has been updated to new engine (during SteamPipe) and that cause massive bugs and glitches, these issues still remains to this day (almost) 10 years later.
