Vulkan render with ray tracing extensions for Xash3D FWGS allows you to enjoy the old game in a new way in fully real time with PBR materials and improved lighting (hacks removed, lighting reconfigured). HDR output is also supported.
This package allows you to play Half-life 1 and its mods such as Blue Shift, Opposing Force and some other mods with ray tracing.
Other mods can be added if mod source codes are available.
You can follow the development of the render here:

...ima port it on my psp
Does it really need RTX cards?
Type your video card model here: Vulkan.gpuinfo.org
For example there is support in 1060, 1660 (ti/SUPER), also Steam Deck.
But the performance will be low for these cards. Maybe FSR 2.2 will help.
I've been trying out reshade 5.22 unmodded setup with vulkan with dss
you need the mcfly reshaader, but you have to pay for it.
@kingdruiduk.AKA.DJ this is Screen-Space RT, they are always unstable and unphysical in nature.
By the way, we maybe have Voxel Cone tracing (or something like that) in the future (lifekilled wants to do it) which be work without ray extensions.
i've been trying out old games using reshade 5.2.2 unofficial now with RayTracedGL1.dll, or nvngx_dlss.dll not the NV 2.5 version very unstable. i have been using it in half life 2 for ages but I got the fog and the lighting (bloom much better) reflections, and everything metal, looks like it's metal. I do this for fun not money, i have been fixing broken mods for years. i just enjoy it.
That sounds good I'll keep checking back. cheers.
Nah, i cant, i have GTX 1050
