Some maps, like Overpass, have been rebuilt from the ground up with Source 2's state-of-the-art tools, whereas others, like Nuke, have received overhauls intended to modernise the map. A select few classics like Dust 2 have been kept largely the same, benefitting from increased lighting and readability but allowing a competent way to test gameplay changes between the titles.
A new sub-tick system ensures that every shot, movement, and grenade throw is perfectly simulated the same on the player's end and on the recipient's.
New particle effects and high-resolution models change the visual flair of the game, ranging from mere aesthetic improvements to providing additional information for savvy players.

Hello everybody people. Today, proudly, I would like to announce my project, called Counter-Strike 2: Classic. I have played Counter-Strike: Classic Offensive many times and I have decided to make a mod that will have an idea of Counter-Strike: Classic Offensive, but it will be developing on Source Engine 2. Which means that this mod will have a Counter-Strike 1.6 mechanics, gameplay, features, but all stuff in high definition. So, it was just an introduction of the project. So, let's turn the page and have a talk about the media release. Firstly, let's have a look at Counter-Strike 1.6 classic style hands, gloves and sleeves. You can see it on the screenshots and on the videos. For me, they are looking really good, but I would like to make them better to make a full sense - maybe I will change the gloves to make it close to original Counter-Strike 1.6, but made in high definition. Second part of our talking will be more interesting, because I have a really cool stuff to show for you. Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists has a Counter-Strike: Source knife by default. And of course, Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists has Counter-Strike 1.6 classic style hands, gloves and sleeves. It is making the sense of classic Counter-Strike 1.6, but made in high definition. Just have a look at the video and screenshots provided below to make it understand how it works in game.
And the last part of today's topic will be the sounds. What sounds? We will have a little talk about Counter-Strike 1.6 classic weapons sounds, that are replacing the original Counter-Strike 2 weapons sounds. In the video provided below you will see that I have tested only those weapons, that were in original Counter-Strike 1.6. What does this mean? For example - AK-47, Galil AR, M4A1, Glock 18, FiveSeven, MP5 Navy and etc. has a ported sounds from Counter-Strike 1.6, but HKP 2000, P250, Nova and etc are using the default Counter-Strike 2 weapons sounds, because they were not presented in original Counter-Strike 1.6. Just have a look at the video provided below and you will all understand.
