"CALL OF DOOM:TARKOV" is a work in progress. It's going very slowly but surely.
Over the past year, various ideas have come and gone, various weapons have been hired and fired, but the blueprint is finally here.
I've been working on a mod that combines Call of Duty and DOOM.
This "CALL OF DOOM: TARKOV" introduces many resources from the best game "Escape from TARKOV" with the most realistic weapon handling.
Weapon animations and sounds are near the highest quality for a non-Total Conversion DOOM mod.
Even with the same M4 platform weapon, the reload sound will change depending on whether it has a metal magazine, plastic magazine or drum magazine.
When you have an AKM, reloading with ammunition already in the chamber will give you +1 ammo capacity. However, since the PPSh-41 is an open-bolt weapon, the ammunition capacity does not increase.
Also, some weapons can be reloaded using the stripper clip.
For example, the SKS rifle takes a long time to reload because the magazine needs to be empty to use the stripper clip. It's faster to reload after all bullets have been fired.

The DOOM mod I am working on is NOT "Escape from tarkov: Total Conversion" or "Hideous Destructor: Tarkov edition".
I don't make mods that take more than an hour to complete a single map, or that require you to be frightened by a single Zombieman's bullet. I never thought of making one.
Regarding the game TARKOV, I think that procurement of weapons and items is fun. I like to get excited about what kind of weapons and items I can get when I enter a danger zone or defeat an enemy.
However, introducing TARKOV player's vulnerability into DOOM would deprive DOOM of most of its original fun.
DOOM is a game where you take down shotgun guys and chain gun guys to steal their guns and ammo, fight tons of enemies, and finally kick the cyberdemon in the butt.
It gives DOOM similar gameplay to Call of Duty, with Escape from TARKOV style weapons and items.
This mod fits many custom maps without making your gameplay too easy, difficult or ruined.
I still have a lot of work to do, but I can show you some actual gameplay videos.
Please pay attention to the improved animation and sound from the previous work.

Wouldn't it be smarter to make ALL of the sprites in "light" version low res? It's so jarring seeing them change every time during animations.
Is there a way to make custom sets?
that is, x weapon limit, x weapon (like doing something to the set of three but changing for a shotgun, a submachine gun and a rocket launcher for example)

I hope a skilled modder will someday find this mod and make it multiplayer
call of doom already works on multiplayer on GZdoom and LZdoom so I don't see why this mod won't.
well, it kinda works on zandronum if you remove one line in the code
I want to make a custom fix, ust one issue I want to have the backpack increase each slot to 3 instead of 2. what line of code do I need to change?
Are there any particular mapsets that work really well with this mod? :)
