-A complete remake of the full chapter using my assets and black-mesa assets.

--Extra Informations--
-There is no new weapons for the simple reason that modders cant access the bm source code. But a surprise is present in the second map anyway.
-Since there was no race x even in the original chapter well no need to explain why they are not in my mod neither.
-I am aware that the Gordon animations are not perfect, but I did my best with what I had, here again since we can't have new NPCs I had to do it the hard way with a prop_dynamic and couple other tricks. But I think I can try something in a very small update.
-I am also announcing a remake for my own version of crush depth, expect the same treatment as this mod, more maps, rethought level design, and more. For the time I work on crush depth remake, vicarious reality will be paused (Not cancelled just paused)
-Also the older version of this mod, stay on the workshop in case people would like to play the short version for some reason. Here is the old version : Steamcommunity.com

What is the difference between this mod and the one on Steam?

this mod is now officially dead.
The steam version will include mutiplayer, lastest updates and xen.
I personally fell like this is a game, because of all the original content the devs made to it.
If some modder that made his mod free come and say "**** you, they reused assets!" Also remember that The Stanley Parable ALSO used some assets, but still is a game and an awesome one. Why all this rage? Honestly they have spent 8 years on this and I wouldn't mind paying 20$ since this is a great title and almost everyone on the america is full of money.

The mods not dead, they already said they are going to port over fixes and other things from the steam release to the mod when they get the time to.
No, why would they update the mod that was going to be Free in the first place? No you have to buy it so you get the priviledge, go, feed them money!
No. They are not planning to release any bug fixes of continue to support it as stated on their Steam FAQ Steamcommunity.com

Unfortunately it is impossible to backport our new features to the mod engine. With the retail version we have access to parts of the engine we could not touch in the mod version."
Yet i'm pretty sure there will be some modders who will try as best they can to port Xen to mod version)) Not saying it will look and work well, probs even a bit broken but it's possible!

This Mod I can Consider one of the best Mods I've ever played.There Is so much effort and work put into this mod and you can really appreciate the work they put into this mod.I hope they can release this mod for free once it's out of Early Access

Yes, but it is not as good compared to the retail version.

They were in the early access release on Steam.

As far as I know its not even complete with the Xen parts.

Play it , you never reach Xen , it ends before you get teleported there.
Well, it is early access, and will be updated in the future with Xen for free as long as you got the retail version.
There are still perks for buying it now like the new models, and of course the new and amazing multiplayer everyone has been hyped for.
But the free version won't be as advance and as cool looking as the retail and to my knowledge the free version won't EVER include Xen unless Black Mesa devs are nice enough to still let part of the game be free.
I would still but it if I were you, the devs deserve the money. They gave us more then half the game already for free and they want it for cheap, but you can buy it or not your choice.
That's why it's still free I think.
