how did you replace textures in levels? Did you somehow get the source files for them?
I studied this tutorial:
I used ldb2rip to extract the original textures because it directly puts them in folders, like "externwall" or "ground" so I could quickly see which of them are likely used outdoors.
Moddb.com
And mostly paint.net for editing and exporting DDS.
Nice updates but i have a question.
I saw Old School Mod for Max Payne 2 and i realised that GP Channel and you made the mod. Why you needed to make a new mod page for this. No offense, but this mod is like 90% oldschool mod and 10% new things. As i read you worked on new updates for that older mod. Why dont you just update that lol
Hello Mr Guest.
"Nice updates but i have a question."
You're welcome. +1
"I saw Old School Mod for Max Payne 2 and i realised that GP Channel and you made the mod. Why you needed to make a new mod page for this."
Well I made this remix on my own so it would be logical to authorize it myself. The remix references, links & credits to original Old School Mod & Creators in many ways, also there's no financial benefit like ad revenue involved that I know of.
"No offense, but this mod is like 90% oldschool mod and 10% new things."
If that 10% consists of the new effects, half of level textures renewed, new weapons and a new level, then after all it's up to people if it's worth downloading.

That page has a lot of WIP content I would have archived and cleared up, but for some technical reason I couldn't do that even if I am listed as part of the original team on ModDb. However I don't think this takes away from the original mod, which already builds on the foundation of other mods, in any way, rather compliments it.
Quick question. did you alter the bullet time mechanic to function more like in MP1 (no regen for kills)?
Yes.
Edit: I misread partly, it's more like MP1 yes, but its the opposite: _only_ kills regen BT, it doesn't regenerate by waiting.
The whole weapon handling, slowmo and difficulty was readjusted so it mixes the best of MP1 and MP2, but that also existed in the original Old School Mod so it's not a new feature.
