I'm here to tell you guys that the mod is not dead, but was on yet another break since I was dealing with life issues. Icemember hasn't been around, so I've more or less taken over the project. I apologize if the last two maps haven't been of the highest quality and I plan on going back to improve on them soon, as I am not happy with the way some of the things have turned out with them. I need to give them campaigns anyway and adjust quite a few things, to be quite honest. I'm actually probably going to do a redux of E01 (Early Days 1 - 1 as I seriously messed up the menus).
Things have been quite stressful for me, so I want to get back to the project as an escape and really raise the quality if I can. The lore of the mod means so much to me and I want to continue the story. Early Days and Imperial Days will get more content, and I have some other projects on the backburner that I do want to get to eventually. I have tons of ideas, but so little time during the day - it's really frustrating, so I'm not opposed to asking for outside help.
Anyway, I have been working on a few things for Imperial Days! Some Army Troopers! There are many varieties, so I'll show a couple for now.
Anyway, yeah...this is just a teaser for now, but I'll hopefully have more to show soon!
We'll also see how the Rathians play into the Galactic Civil War. ;)

Can anyone mod Jorrus C'Boath as a skin for me ? I want to play as him badly.
Does anyone know a mod that changes the first person animation? Like when your character is running they do the modern FPS animation of lowering their weapon while sprinting? Orcis it possible to that? I think that out of all the mods that can be made for this game that change in animation would really change the feel of Battlefront 2. Pair that with graphic mods and reshade presets then it would make BF2 almost indistinguishble with the EA Battlefronts.
Unfortunately what Needo62 said is correct, the game uses a lookup table in the executable for the possible first person animation states, unlike the third person animations. What that means is we can't (at least with all current knowledge) extend or modify the first person functionality.
What states exist we can replace the animations for, but that still does not allow us to have a sprint animation separate from regular running, no animations unique per weapon (i.e. no unique reloads), no first person melee (at least not without breaking some other things, so the mod would have to focus just on that), etc.
it isnt possible to the extend ur hoping, the game is hardcoded to only use a small number of animations in first person, for example the first person sprint animation is hardcoded to just be a faster version of the regular run animation, u cant have a completely unique sprint animation
Considering there exists a Halo and Mass Effect TC modification for this game, I'm surprised there haven't been any mods for SWBF2 based off other great or beloved/popular science fiction media, like Aliens, Battlestar Galactica, Dune, The Expanse, Firefly, Gears of War, Killzone, The Orville, Starcraft, Stargate, Star Trek, Starship Troopers, Terminator, Warhammer 40k, or XCOM, just to name a few.
For now at least.
There's a pretty good mod based on Halo (Battlefront Halation)
i guess its mainly due to the amount of work required to make mods like that good, i myself ported some warhammer 40k models to the game but never made a mod with them, however the space marine port was used in a mod later on (not a dedicated 40k mod though)
