Max Payne 2: Old School Remix features the actors and arsenal from the first game and a nostalgic audiovisual atmosphere.
The latest Max Payne 2 Old School Remix update adds more bonus content and further improves the gameplay and artwork. One new level (Lupino's Hotel DMW) and two older ones (the official Remedy DMW levels from 2003) are added, and you can also play in First Person Mode if you want. Read more on the mod download page!

Awesome mod, but Dead Man Walking times are not saving when using any other skin than default Max Payne!

Huh, so this mod includes touch-up's and addon's to the actual Max Payne 2 campaign like SMOD Map-Add's to the base HL2 Campaign?
If so, I gotta give this a whirl soon! And are the 5 non-DMW maps custom built?
I don't get the HL2 reference, but the 3 Aesir maps and 2 Subway maps included were not specifically built for the Old School project if that's what you're asking, they were made by different people back in the days. Same goes for Roscoe and Ragnarock Showdown DMW levels.
There are 2 truely new DMW maps included so far (Ragnarock Entrance and Cold Steel) and 2 more to be released so in total 4 MP1 remakes by me. The Aesir one I completed last year but Punchinello Manor has been dragging because of other life stuff until recent times.
i mistakenly wrote this in the news thread so i moved it here......(man this is what i have been dreaming for max payne into max payne 2, i really wanted someone to do this and found this today, and its even better than i though, u didnt just changed the model texture but also the comic. what an amazing work. i wish i could have done it but i dont have knowledge about any of these. U r my fav now.)
Is there a mod for Max Payne 2 that really returns pipe or bat as melee weapon?
Not as secondary attack triggered by "F" button, but as a separate weapon.
I know, i know very good about changed Melee logic in MP2, but still i'm curios if there is a mod where we can play with a separate melee weapons like pipe, bat, crowbat, whatever.
I think there are melee mods but they are more like swords and katanas.
The bat and the pipe are more like easter eggs in this mod, they would actually require new animations and stuff. It's also that there are limited weapon slots and no one would likely use the melee weapons if you had to switch to them every time.
